I really enjoyed posting gratitude for the December Sanity Retreat and I’ll be posting a roundup soon, but am so ready to get back to food! As I looked through 2013’s recipes, it’s clear to me that I’m posting less food, but pickier about what I post, so I’ve had a hard time narrowing down my favorites on my blog and around the web. Here are my top 3 in a bunch of categories:
Veggies:
Main meal
Desserts:
- Maple Pralines
- Choco Mint Mini Cupcakes
- Candied orange peel (not Cheryl Friendly, but Mr. Dude’s absolute favorite)
Doesn’t quite fit anywhere else, but I couldn’t leave it out:
Hazenut Buttah (goodness on a spoon!)
Recipes from books out in 2013:
- Tangy “Peanut Sauce” from Paleo Cooking from Elana Amsterdam (my review here)
- Carrie’s Almond Crackers from the Everything Gluten-free Baking Cookbook (my review here)
- Ricki Heller’s Easier Almond Cookies from Naturally Sweet and Gluten-free (my review here!)
On other websites:
- Shirley’s crustless apple pie. Amazing, I tell you!
- Date Balls from Linda of Gluten-free Homemaker
- Kate of Eat, Recycle Repeat’s Holiday Cheer Chocolate Bark
Chocolate Chestnut Cake–actually my recipe, but published in Simply Gluten-Free Magazine
My thoughts:
What a wonderful roundup! So many fun memories here and some new things to check out. 🙂 Thank you so much for including my Crustless Apple Pie. So happy that you have enjoyed it so, Cheryl!
Shirley
Thank you for including my recipe! I’m glad you like it. I agree with Shirley – this was really fun to read and I discovered some great new recipes! I love all your recipes with chesnuts! 🙂
Hi Cheryl,
I’m a little late to the party–head buried in my desktop!! Thanks so much for the shout-out. That cake looks incredible! I was inspired by your chestnut love for my chocolate chestnut mousse tarts, in fact. Love, love chestnuts. 🙂
